Keynote Client & Audience Reviews
“Having just read Dr. Grayson's book prior to the event, I was very excited to have her sharing her experiences, advice, and wisdom with our current students. She displayed a remarkable talent for simultaneously giving a very professional talk with data and key information while also being incredibly personable, making the students comfortable to engage in a conversation about the important topics. The talk was very well organized and full of great information and personal insights. She answered all of the questions thoughtfully and clearly. All of those in attendance that I spoke to after the event felt they had not only gained a better understanding of both DEI and graduate school, but also were inspired by Dr. Grayson's words.”

“Malika’s true-life story was delivered with sincerity, passion, humor, and emotion (words not usually associated with a Ph.D. S.T.E.M Professional). She held the audience in the palm of her hand from the beginning to the end of her marvelous journey. She certainly knows how to capture--and hold--one's attention. By the end of her presentation, she has you leaving the talk with the feeling that "can't doesn't belong in your vocabulary"!”

“We invited Dr. Grayson to speak to our physics and engineering students. As a professor mentoring students - although it’s been over a month - I still directly reference her talk. It was so powerful that the students immediately get it. I highly recommend you invite Dr. Grayson to come speak to your students.”
- Matthew Wright, Associate Professor Chair of Physics, Adelphi University
I had the pleasure of hosting Dr. Grayson for the Department of Microbiology and Immunology Seminar at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry where she presented her talk entitled "From Graduate School to Industry: My Journey As A Minority Woman In STEM". Dr. Grayson did an amazing job of sharing her experiences as a black woman navigating graduate school and the development of her career. She invoked a lot of thought and reflection within the audience on the necessity of representation and the importance of diversity and inclusion in both academia and industry. We are very thankful to have had the opportunity to hear Dr. Drayson's perspectives and have benefited greatly from her talk.

BGGGS Scholar Reviews
"Best experience ever! I found BGG2GS at a time when I felt like giving up and walking away from my Ph.D. journey. The guidance and support I received was invaluable. BGG2GS gave me feedback and suggested ways to make my paper better. More than the help I received, the experience of working with a black woman who wasn’t scared to see another black woman rise was the best part."
"I really enjoyed my experience working with Malika; she extended a helping hand during my graduate school application, going above and beyond my expectations. As a result of my experience working with her, a passion to give back has been instilled within myself: to assist other black men/women in getting into graduate school. I utterly support the cause!"
“Great! BGG2GS was very supportive. I received in-depth feedback and commentary very promptly. Furthermore, I received great edits and suggestions, as well as follow-up questions to make sure that my content was representative of my goals and endeavors. I was also provided references to relevant blogs that Black Girls 2 Grad School have posted in the past, so that I may implement certain methods into my grad school application process.”
"BGG2GS helped me out the most with my grad school application essay. She even reviewed it twice before I sent it in. Being a black woman, I valued her opinion the most because she had been exactly where I've been and knew exactly how to help me."
"Working with black girls guide to 2 grad school was an amazing one! Ms. Grayson responded promptly she also sent my essay back with corrections and constructive criticism within a day or two her assistance was very helpful and greatly appreciated."
"I found BGG2GS when I made up my mind to pursue my Doctoral studies. Mind you I had no clue as to where to begin but through BGG2GS they walked me through the process via timely posts that explained what to expect during the entire process including the SOP. Amazingly part of BGG2GS is that they offer to review your Statement of Purpose ..for free. I couldn't believe it."
