What Was Your Biggest Fear In Entering Graduate School? Pt I
My biggest fear when entering grad school was that I made a mistake to attend grad school, in general. I was not the traditional undergraduate student; I was usually the oldest in my classes, had a part-time job, and lived alone. I was quite content and comfortable with the idea of getting a job with my BSc. in Physics and living my best mediocre life. Although I may have been able to work in an industry/position I’d be happy with, I knew taking my education a step further would expose me to additional training and secure me as an expert. There are goals in my life I want to achieve which requires me to above mediocrity and hold a graduate degree. Thankfully, my first week on campus altered my fears into feelings of accomplishment and knowing that this will be the greatest turning point for my academic career. It has been a rugged road but I look forward to what this journey will bring.
